Conference Theme

 

The aim of the conference is an interdisciplinary discussion on the broadly understood ethical, philosophical, social, and legal issues connected with the dynamic development of contemporary genetics and the idea of personalised medicine. We invite you to submit your paper/poster concerning moral, legal and social aspects of genetic research, genetic counselling, prenatal and preimplantation genetic diagnosis, embryonic stem cells research, the patients’ rights in the context of genetic testing (such as the right to know and the right not to know, equal access to genetic service, protection of genetic data, the risk of discrimination based on genetic heritage, pharmacogenetic, patenting and commercialisation of genetic research as well as philosophical problems of genetic determinism and indeterminism and other issues connected with the theme of the conference.

 

The publication of conference materials

The organisers predict the publication of the received papers in indexed scientific journals: Diametros (ERIH list) and in Journal of General Medicine and Health Science. The works will be published after review. Details concerning the qualification and preparation of publications will be provided later.

               

The costs of participating in the conference

Full fee: 100 EUR

Reduced fee (students, PhD students): 50 EUR

The fee entitles to meals, conference materials and certificates of participation.
